Delete your account
You can delete your InspectrPlus account at any time. This page explains what happens, what gets deleted, and how to request deletion if you can’t use the app.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the InspectrPlus app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete in the confirmation dialog.
Your account is deleted immediately. You’ll be signed out and returned to the welcome screen. A confirmation email is sent to the address on file.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you don’t have access to the app (lost your device, can’t sign in, uninstalled, etc.) you can request account deletion by email.
- Email privacy@inspectrplus.app from the email address on your account.
- Use the subject line: Account deletion request.
- Include the full name on the account, and (if you remember it) the approximate date you created the account. This helps us locate the right record.
We will verify your identity by replying from
privacy@inspectrplus.app and confirming the request. If we
cannot verify you are the account owner, we may ask for additional
information before processing the request.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone, password, business details).
- Your inspection records, photos, signatures, and reports.
- Invoices you created in the app.
- Push-notification tokens and device identifiers tied to your account.
- Calendar entries the app created in our database (entries already added to your device calendar remain on your device).
- Support tickets you opened, after a short grace period for follow-up.
What we may retain (and why)
A small amount of information is retained after deletion, only as long as necessary and only for these specific reasons:
- Transaction records required to comply with tax, accounting, and anti-fraud laws — typically 7 years.
- Payment records held by Stripe and the app stores (Apple, Google), governed by their own retention policies. We do not control those records.
- Anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you (for example, a count of inspections completed in a month).
- Backups may contain your data for up to 90 days before they are overwritten in the normal retention cycle.
- Limited information needed to honor your deletion request itself (for example, a record that the deletion happened, the date, and a hashed reference to the original account).
How long it takes
- In-app deletion: immediate. Backups age out within 90 days.
- Email request: we confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
If you have an active subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — those are controlled by Apple and Google, not by us. To avoid being charged again, cancel your subscription before deleting your account:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → InspectrPlus → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play app → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → InspectrPlus → Cancel.
